Requires a PhD in Chemical Engineering, BioEngineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or closely related field and 3 years of pre or postdegree experience in NonNewtonian fluids and Computational Fluid Dynamics research. Must have experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics applied for complex fluids of Newtonian and nonNewtonian in both turbulent and laminar flow regimes; Multiphase fluid processes of mass and heat transfer, solidliquid interaction, flow system stability and phase transition between liquid and solid, reaction kinetics; Supporting new product development in the area of complex fluids, including working within an industrial RD organization, familiarity with complex fluid process flow diagrams PFD, and piping and instrumentation diagrams PIDs; Analysis of complex fluid under extreme conditions, e.g. high temperature and high pressure within thermalfluids systems and technologies such as heat exchangers, refrigeration, and internal flows; Reaction kinetics modeling and the experimental development and validation of models for chemical processes; Developing and utilizing appropriate models in a synergistic fashion to solve real life industrial problems, leading a project from idea to execution; Fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and computational mathematics; Using and developing tools to model or verify thermalfluids systems performance, conducting optimization studies, and building new capabilities; Simulation of complex systems utilizing CFD simulation tools such as ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL, and StarCCM; Conducting multilevel projects and working with engineers and lab technicians to validate CFD models; Programming, data processing, and writing scripts utilizing Python, MATLAB, C, HPC; Design, packaging, and CAD modeling skills using SolidWorks and AutoCAD; 1D simulation using EES, MATLAB Simulink; Process control system hardware and DAQ software such as National Instruments; and Software skills Origin, Maple, Mathematica, Tableau, and LabVIEW.br br Successful applicants must pass one assessment no technical coding, and provide a satisfactory technical presentation in addition to passing 3 interviews.
