IBM certification as a Designer or Developer in Cognos 1011 BI Metadata Models, Cognos 1011 BI Reports, and or Cognos Framework modeling 1011 is preferred.br br EXPLANATION OF RECENT CORPORATE MERGERbr Effective December 1, 2022, Flagstar Bank, FSB amended its charter and converted from a federal savings bank to a national bank. NYSE NYCBs acquisition of Flagstar Bancorp, Inc. received regulatory approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to convert Flagstar Bank, FSB to a national bank to be known as Flagstar Bank, N.A. and to merge New York Community Bank NYCB into Flagstar Bank, N.A. NYCB is now a division of Flagstar Bank, N.A.br The acquisition creates one of the largest regional banks in the country, operating 395 branches across a ninestate franchise, including strong footholds in the Northeast and Midwest and exposure to high growth markets in the Southwest and West Coast. Through the Flagstar Mortgage division, the Company will operate nationally through 81 retail home lending offices in 26 states and a wholesale network of approximately 3,000 thirtyparty mortgage originators.br The acquisition does not change the location of the Banks inhouse IT Department which will remain at the Regional Branch Office in Troy, Michigan. The Banks CIO is also headquartered in Troy, Michigan. The Banks Federal Employer Identification Number FEIN also remains the same.br br EXPLANATION OF BUSINESS NECESSITY FOR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTbr br Due to the technical nature of the services we provide and the myriad of regulatory requirements that our Bank must adhere to, Flagstar maintains its own inhouse IT department, which is responsible for designing software programs and maintaining our IT infrastructure specifically tailored to meet the needs of our Bank and to continually increase the efficiency of our services while protecting and maintaining the confidentiality of the financial and banking records of our customers.br br The position of BI Architect is an essential position within the Bank. The BI Architect is responsible for architecting the entire BI platform to align with the Banks Datawarehouse modernization and associated activities, including capacity planning, upgrades, administration, and security design, scheduling design, and cube design. The position is also responsible for the design and development of executive dashboards, data mart access design, and advanced analytics in accordance with industry best practices.br br To adequately perform the highly technical duties of this position, it is necessary that the BI Architect, possess, at a minimum, the formal education and experience requirements as set forth in Item H.14. A person who fills the proffered position within the Bank cannot properly carry out the duties and responsibilities of a BI Architect without the required formal education and experience in the stated skill sets.
