The position requires a Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mathematics, or a related field plus five 5 years of experience in the job offered or an Actuary, Corporate Reserving Departmentrelated occupation. Position also requires an Associate or Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society ACASFCAS or equivalent international actuarial credentials and demonstrable experience with each of the following Actuarial techniques and standards, as well as other business operations including financial, underwriting, legal, statistics, claims, sales as they pertain to personal, commercial, and specialty lines of insurance; Advanced computing skills including MS Office Excel, SAS, ResQ actuarial software, Smartview Finance program, SQL, R, and Power BI; Ability to build complex models and relate them to business decisions and current internal and external conditions; Casualty actuarial techniques for forecasting development, trends and rate changes; Familiarity with US Actuarial standards of practice; Insurance operations and the procedures of Financial, Underwriting, Claims, Statistical, Information Technology, Legal, and Sales departments; Basic reserving techniques, including chainladder and BornheutterFerguson; and Familiarity with basic stochastic andor predictive modeling techniques including Generalized Linear Modeling.
