In H.4 and H.4B above, the education requirement is a Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Computer Control Systems, Automation Engineering, or related.br br In H.10B above, the experience requirement is two 2 years of experience in controls engineering or robotics engineering supporting automation or electromechanical systems.br br In H.8A and H.8C above, the employer will accept a Masters degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Computer Control Systems, Automation Engineering, or related in lieu of a Bachelors degree or equivalent and two 2 years of experience as described above.br br Special Requirements Academic background, internship, or work experience to include Electrical Standards e.g., NFPA79, National Electric code, UL508A, or related; Structure Text e.g., Beckhoff TwinCAT or Siemens TIA Portal, or related; Human Machine Interface, Field bus Networks, and Safety rated field bus networks; Serial communication RS232 between PLCs and instruments; Ethernet communications between machine PLCs and database systems; Experience programming PLCs, industrial equipment, and variable frequency drives; Experience creating detailed electrical and fluid schematics in CAD or AutoCAD Electrical; and Vision systems e.g., Cognex, Keyence, Fanuc, or related. Approximately 5 international and 15 domestic travel required to support equipment buyoff at supplier locations and new equipment commissioning at new Tesla factories. Travel expenses to be paid by employer. Successful completion of reference checks and background checks is required.br br Special requirements defined at H.14 not to be conflated with H.8C andor H.10A. There is no timing requirement associated with the special requirements defined at H.14, unless specifically stated otherwise.br br Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
