Position requires a Bachelors degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, and 15 years of progressively responsible postBachelors degree experience in a related engineering occupation.br br Alternatively, a Masters degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, and 12 years of experience in related engineering occupation is acceptable. Any suitable combination of education, training andor experience is acceptable.br br The position also requiresbr br 1 year experience with MkVe controller for control of electrical generators and exciter systems.br br 5 years experience developing PSCAD and RSCAD models, and running Real Time Data Simulator RTDS cases for power grid analysis.br br 5 years experience in automation controller programming.br br 8 years experience in microprocessor control hardware, firmware, architecture.br br 10 years experience using IEEE, IEC, ANSI, NEC, and NESC standards and codes, and able to engineer design packages when no clear customer specification is provided.br br 5 years experience in installation, fieldtesting and commissioning of HV equipment, including required safe work habits.br br 10 years experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.br br 5 years of experience using Linux operating systems.br br 5 years experience in modelbased control application development using MATLAB and SIMULINK.br br Up to 20 required travel to New York and various customer sites both internationally and domestic to conduct RTDS testing at GEs lab in Saratoga Springs, NY, and for technical meetings and commissioning of GE solutions at customers facility.br br Remote position. Must report to Saratoga Springs office quarterly to support customer testing.br br GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
