MS in Mechanical engineering, Engineering Design Innovation or related fieldsbr br Familiarity executing the human centered design process for problem solving including research, insights, prototyping, testing and iterationbr Work at the intersection of transformative product innovation, design thinking, and business model innovation with abr Focus on user experience, human emotion, form and the use of materials in design and develop multiple concepts across a range of industries.br Ability to go through the process of product development from an industrial design and user experience perspective.br Execute consumer research methods including inhome ethnographic interviews, physical and virtual product prototyping, business model development, and pitch development, story telling techniques and testing.br Generate frameworks like stakeholder maps, journey maps, service blueprints to establish key insights from researchbr Experience in creative collaboration, brainstorming prototyping, industrial design and design language, brand, and storytelling and use of physical and virtual product prototyping, business model development, pitch development and testing, robust primary consumer research among the target audience for each project, applying consumer research methods including ethnography and behavioral psychology.br Use design as a strategic offering from a product design and development perspective, with a strong emphasis on rightbrain creative thinking. Understand the importance of ethnography, consumer empathy, creative collaboration, brainstorming, prototyping, industrial design and design language, brand, and storytelling.br Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate insights, user experience requirements, timelines and set expectations with partners, vendors and clients.br Expertise in Computer Aided design CAD software tools required Solidworks, ProEngineerCreo, NX.br Experience with computer implementation of Finite Element Modeling methods for stress analysis with an emphasis on linear elasticity.br Ability to develop finite elements from variational principles and application to static stress analysis using techniques for transient and generalized field problems. Comfortable with computer implementation of finite element techniques.br Familiarity with optimization theory using formulations, algorithms, computer implementation, examplesprojects with emphasis in numerical and emerging techniques for design and manufacturing related applicationsbr Experience in scalable manufacturing processes like Injection Molding, sheet metal forming, extrusion, CNC, MIM, Die Casting, Forging, Anodization, Coating, Forming and other rapid prototyping materials and techniquesbr Knowledgeable about and comfortable working with tools in a machine shop for prototyping and material selection metals, plastics, woods, soft goods, packagingbr Defining product requirements document PRD based on intended user experience in collaboration with clients and industry expertsbr Improve productivity and reduce cost in manufacture of discrete parts and assemblies.br Validate the material and manufacturing process decisions for economic viability.
