Handling, moving and installing stone, safely without damaging the stone, being able carve, fabricate and modify and or repair the occasional missing or damaged piece. Knowledge of how to affix the stone to the different surfaces encountered in the field while adhering to safety and code protocols. Knowing the unique techniques for grouting the joints without staining the stone. Must know how to use small and large wet and dry saws, bridge saws, chop saws and hand held core drill of up to 4quot; in diameter. Knowledge and experience using tools of the trade such as mixing drills, stone splitters, stone dollies, masons straight edges, hand trucks, toothed chisel, flat chisels, stone polishers, drill machines, stone grinders, circular saws stone lifting clamps and associated machinery, shims, masons safety googles, protective ear plugs, wet dry vacuums, chipping hammers, angle grinders and a knowledge of mixing and using the different epoxies and glues used in the industry.
