Must have a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutics, Chemical or Biochemical Engineering, or a related scientific field plus five 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related role in the pharmaceutical industry. Must have five 5 years of progressively responsible experience with all of the following Highthroughput screening methods for proteins and design of studies supporting formulation selection for introduction into clinical trials; Protein biophysical characterization techniques including Differential Scanning Calorimetry Isothermal Titration Calorimetry, Dynamic Light Scattering, High Pressure Liquid Chromatography, Capillary Gel Electrophoresis, UVVis spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, and particle characterization using MicroFlow Imaging and HIAC; Drug Substance and Drug Product processes including ultrafiltrationdiafiltration, lyophilization, Karl Fisher, and fillfinish operations; Design and execution of clinical compatibility studies and inuse support for clinical administration of biotherapeutic products; Analytical assay development for novel therapeutic modalities such as antibody drug conjugates, RNA, and DNA; Handling of highpotency molecules and working in isolator environments; Authoring technical reports andor manuscripts for publication and in presenting work to both internal and external audiences; and maintenance of general lab instrumentation and organizational systems and interfacing with relevant external parties. In the alternative, the Employer will accept a Masters degree in a stated field of study plus two 2 years of experience. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable. 5 travel required to various and unanticipated AstraZeneca and external sites nationally and unintentionally.
