Position requires a minimum of a Masters degree in Civil Engineering, plus one year of experience in a related occupation. Must have Engineer in Training or Engineer Intern certificate. Requires any amount of experience with all of the following applying advanced mathematical and fundamental probabilistic or statistical concepts to solve engineering problems; project management as it relates to construction management, including estimating, scheduling, and safety; mechanical and physical properties of soil and rock and their relation to developing geotechnical engineering solutions, including classifications, permeability, strength, and consolidation properties; CAD software to generate 2D and 3D drawings; demonstrated ability tobr use the following geotechnical design and analysis software Settle3, CLiq and CPeTIT, Slide2, GeoStudio SlopeW, SeepW, LPile, APile, SHAFT, DEEPSOIL, MSEW, ABAQUS, and CANDE; and the following geotechnical laboratory standards ASTM D4318 Liquid Limit, Plastic Limit, and Plasticity Index of Soils, ASTM D7928 ParticleSize Distribution of Fine Grained Soils Using Hydrometer Analysis, ASTM D2938 Unconfined Compressive Strength of Rock, ASTM D3080 Direct Shear Test of Soils Under Consolidated Drained Conditions,br ASTM D6528 Direct Shear Test of Soils Under Consolidated Undrained Conditions, and ASTM D2435 OneDimensional Consolidation Properties of Soils.
