Must have a Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or foreign equivalent, and 2 years experience. Qualifying experience must be as an Engineer or substantially similar position performing the following Design and develop inmold grain skin, inmold grain lamination, and vacuumforming tools for automotive soft touch interior trims, including instrument panels, door panels, glove boxes, and seat backs using DFMA, 3D CAD, SolidWorks, VISI tools, Catia V5, NXUG, Creo, ProE, AutoCAD, FMEA, PDM, DVP R, and BOM creation; make part and assembly drawings and CAD files for manufacturing and use Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing GD T in drawings to communicate design intent and perform tolerance stackup analysis; use SolidWorks to create parametric 3D templates by defining rules for automating tool design; and use VISI CAD software for classA surface modeling; coordinate with customers to gather and analyze projects requirements, propose concepts and solutions for tool build and review tools and parts produced in trial run; and work with vendors to outsource subcomponents, send drawings to have the parts manufactured per the company standards.
