Must have a demonstrated proficiency operating and maintaining the laser Interface scanner for 35mm optical soundtracks VA and VD. Knowledge of the physical properties of lasers, modulation and demodulation of optoelectronic signals. Advanced skills in audio restoration for film. Ability to handle and repair film elements. Advanced knowledge of all sound formats from early analog recording processes to current digital formats. Good knowledge of all the photochemical steps and processes used in film replication. Advanced knowledge in overall audiovideo lab equipment maintenance, including vintage film equipment.
