Requires a Masters degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Transportation Engineering and six 6 months of experience in the job offered or six 6 months of experience developing tunnel project geotechnical site investigation program establishing locations for proposed borings and provide appropriate test programs for ground and rock samples; evaluating the tested results to accepted standards and make recommendations for strength characteristics and requirements; identifying structures within the tunneling zone of influence where addition foundation support may be required and propose appropriate methods of support; and performing numerical modelling and analysis using computer programs SAP2000, MIDAS, SLIDE, and PLAXIS of tunneling projects.br br Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
