EDUCATION Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Neuroscience or related field.br br EXPERIENCE 1 year of experience in the position offered or related occupation.br br SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Skills with the following requiredbr neuroanatomy;br neurophysiology;br application of neuroanesthesia and its effects on neuromonitoring;br low frequency filter configuration, high frequency filter configuration, and stimulus parameters;br neurodiagnostic studies;br performing and reading EEG, evoked potentials, EMG, and nerve conduction studies;br performing direct cortical stimulation in functional mapping studies to determine sensorimotor and language cortex and cranial nerve stimulation;br marking, measuring, and isolating neurological structures in the patient for electrode placement;br electrode application in adherence to the international 1020 system;br identifying clinically significant events and following procedures and guidelines;br practice of electrical safety;br operating room standard protocols for sterility;br hospital policies, procedures, and equipment;br emergency procedures Code, Fire, and Security;br The Joint Commission guidelines for patient safety;br HIPAA compliance;br operating neurodiagnostic equipment;br Cadwell Cascade Pro and Medtronic E4;br Certified Neurological Intraoperative Monitoring CNIM technologist; andbr Basic Life Support BLS Certification.br br br Extensive domestic travel to various hospitals in Northern California required.
