Required skills Develop and implement gastrointestinal disease models in animal systems to assess and develop novel agents to treat such diseases as gastroesophageal reflux disease, irritable bowel syndrome; design and implement complex in vivo studies focused on gastric motility disorders to identify and manipulate novel target biology; contribute to the development and launch of new medications for gastroesophageal reflux disease and other stomach acidrelated diseases in various ways including serving as preclinical lead for the global product teams of TAK390MR and Vonoprazan and the Phase 2 development drug, TAK906, for the treatment of gastroparesis; lead a team of scientists in the evaluation of new drug mechanisms in gastrointestinal diseases. Up to 5 travel required.
