SingleStore specializes in the provision of a cloudnative operational database that unifies data models and data types across hybrid, onpremises and cloud environments, for operational analytics and AIML Artificial IntelligenceMachine Learning powered applications. The Software Engineer position is not entrylevel; it is an integral part of growing and maintaining our operations. In order to work on distributed systems algorithms and problemscomponents for major software components, systems, and features, leverage technical and business acumen, and develop inmemory and ondisk structures and algorithms, row and columnar stores, networking, query optimization and execution of database management system, the Software Engineer must have advance knowledge inwith the following Computational Algorithms; RealTime Performance; FPGA Field Programmable Gate Array Development; GPU Graphical Processing Unit Parallel Programming; Stream Processing; and SIMD Single Instruction, Multiple Data Vectorization. She must understand and have advanced knowledge of Computational Algorithms, RealTime Performance, Stream Processing, and SIMD Single Instruction, Multiple Data to develop core database engine to enhance database performance with good throughput and low latency, and take part in code and design reviews. She must have advanced knowledge of Computational Algorithms, RealTime Performance, and Stream Processing in order to build systems software in a rapid production environment to meet project deadlines and deliverables. In addition, she must have advanced knowledge with RealTime Performance, Stream Processing, and SIMD Single Instruction, Multiple Data Vectorization in order to develop function, performance, and stress tests for the database engine to ensure data consistency and durability with breakthrough performance and scalability and improve overall software quality. Without an advanced, theoretical background gained through at least a Masters degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related, the applicant would not possess the advanced knowledge gained from academic coursework, school projects, or practical training through internship or coop required for the role. The educational requirement and the required advanced knowledge bear a reasonable relationship to the occupation in the context of our business and are essential to perform the job in a reasonable manner. Because SingleStores business is centered on a realtime engagement data platform to manage cloud applications that is on the cutting edge of the industry, a lower degree e.g. a Bachelors degree or Associates degree in the same field does not provide the theoretical and advanced knowledge required to be able to contribute to our unique and industryshaping technologies. Likewise, experience instead of an advanced degree would not provide the level of theoretical and advanced knowledge required for the position at SingleStore.
