Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field plus 5 years of progressive experience as an Accountant, Auditor, AssociateAnalyst, or related position at a private equity or large accounting firm. Must have at least 5 years of experience with the following Performing Financial reporting and general ledger tasks including the evaluation of Balance Sheet and PL account movements covering Cash, Accounts Payable, Real Estate Investment Costs, Rental Revenues and Operating Expenses, and FAS Deprecations and Amortizations, for both NAV and quarterly public filings; reviewing Rent Rolls, Purchase and Sale Agreements, tax provision and REIT compliance testing with underlying tax schedules and forms; preparing audit support with associated detailed schedules and SOX documentation; working with underlying real estate property management teams and fund administrators; complying with public companySEC reporting requirements; and utilizing accounting systems including Yardi.
