Requires a Masters or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 2 years of experience in the position offered or 2 years of experience conducting power system modeling and simulations; performing analysis of operations; and utilizing optimization and numerical analysis methodologies. Also requires 2 years of experience using at least 4 of the following analytical tools Load Flow, Contingency Analysis, State Estimation, AGC, Economic Dispatch or Power Systems Simulators; prototyping models through use of machine learning or AI packages or optimization toolkits; programming power system applications in MATLAB; programming with Linux and Windows development environments; and utilizing IEC 61970 or IEEEPSSE data formats. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently. Employee reports to office in Houston, TX. Position may work from home, but must live within commuting distance of stated office. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.
