Requires a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field and 4 years of experience with high availability relational databases such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL. Must have experience withbr Designing, engineering, and maintaining databases in a mixed Oracle and SQL Server environment both on premise and in the Microsoft Azure Cloud; Defining cloud based high availability and disaster recovery architecture for mission critical database systems; Azure fabric and Azure management tools; Working in conjunction with the business and application owners to architect database solutions based on project requirements, helping to define longrange requirements for database administration and design; Maintaining Sarbanes Oxley documentation and compliance of core database and financial systems; Database technologies, development methodologies, and frontend e.g., SSRSback end programming languages e.g., SQL,SSIS; Modernizing legacy systems through database versioning and enhancements, partnering with business and application teams to migrate to current database technologies including Azure PaaS; Mapping and documenting the database environment including full inventory management of all databases and relevant server details; Designing policies and procedure to maintain the Oracle and SQL Server databases including security and proper role based controls; Leading continuous improvement efforts in enhancing performance and providing increased functionality through the use of indexes, DMVs, execution plans and profiling; Weekly oncall responsibilities and 24×7 support; and Participating in special projects.
