Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, instrumentation and control engineering, or related field, and 8 years of progressive experience in a senior software engineering or engineering management position or combination with a provider of engineering services. Included within the 8 years of experience, must have acquired specialized skills in all of the following analyzing safety risks and proposing overall system design and process recommendations for safety critical systems for the automotive or aerospace industries to comply with safety standards, including ISO 26262 or DO178; leading and participating in safety critical process audits and assessments, and conducting overall reviews at the system architecture level; designing comprehensive and complex modelbased control systems, and evaluating and optimizing architecture for automotive or aerospace industries platforms EV, BMS, diesel, gasoline, hybrid; designing and architecting new embedded control systems, and evaluating existing embedded design architecture, including microprocessor peripherals, memory allocation, compilers, linkers, and communication protocols CAN, J1939, LIN, Serial Communication; performing configuration management using application lifecycle management tools DOORS, IBM ClearQuest, ClearCase, PTC Integrity, Microsoft TFS, Visio, UML, Use case analysis; managing embedded controls projects using Agile, Scrum and Waterfall methodologies; managing engineering project resources including analyzing resource needs, calculating resource projections and utilization using resource analysis tools, data analytics, and statistics; analyzing projects, managing budgets, and monitoring profit and loss; performing business development activities, including risk analysis, maintenance of customer relationships, voice of the customer surveys, and project and business updates.
