Requires skills and experience to include Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Working knowledge of drawing creation per ASME Y14.5 2009 standard; Proficiency with design for sheet metal, injection molding, diecasting and reaction injection molding RIM manufacturing methods; Proficient in design engineering using plastics, metals, elastomeric materials and glass composites; Proficiency with prototyping fidelities and associated materials and processes to include engineering for CNC machining, 3D printing variations, painting breakup and tolerancing; Experience in packaging of electronic components; Experience working in accordance with best practices of Design for Manufacture and Design for Assembly DFMDFA techniques; Familiarity with various finishing operations coatings, plating, etc. and experience using basic machine shop tools hand tools, basic power tools to complete prototype pilot run builds.
