Client Overview:

Project Overview:
We are seeking experienced nurses specializing in stroke rehabilitation to provide comprehensive home care for our father. This project entails a 6-month contract, with the potential for extension based on his progress and ongoing needs.

Responsibilities:

Administer physical therapy exercises prescribed by healthcare providers to improve our father’s mobility, strength, balance, and coordination on the affected side of his body.
Provide speech therapy to address our father’s dysphagia and communication difficulties resulting from the stroke. Utilize techniques and exercises to enhance swallowing function, speech clarity, and language abilities.
Assist our father with activities of daily living, including personal care, mobility support, feeding assistance, and light household tasks, fostering his independence and well-being.
Collaborate closely with our father’s medical team, including neurologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to ensure coordinated care and optimize treatment strategies.
Offer emotional support and encouragement to our father and our family, assisting them in coping with the challenges of stroke recovery and rehabilitation.
Requirements:

Certification as a registered nurse with a minimum of 3 years of experience in stroke rehabilitation or home healthcare.
Proficiency in administering physical therapy exercises to improve mobility and coordination, as well as speech therapy techniques to address dysphagia and communication challenges.
Experience in providing comprehensive nursing care, including assistance with activities of daily living, medication management, and monitoring of vital signs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to nursing care, fostering trust and rapport with our father and family while promoting his comfort and independence at home.
