REQUIREMENTS A Masters degree in Chemistry or a related discipline or foreign equivalent; B Demonstrable expertise in the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing of modern analytical instruments, especially gas chromatographymass spectrometry GCMS, and liquid chromatographymass spectrometry LCMS; C Demonstrable expertise in methodology development and optimization for GCMS and LCMS; D Demonstrably solid fundamental background in sample preparation and extraction techniques, including, solidphase extraction SPE, solidphase microextraction SPME, liquidliquid extraction LLE, liquid phase microextraction LPME, thermal desorption, headspace extraction, centrifugation, filtration; E Demonstrable working knowledge of and proficiency in data analysis with necessary software and programming languages; and F Demonstrable working knowledge of and proficiency in flavor chemical identification and analysis with GCMS or LCMS.
