Project Overview:
We seek an experienced nursing team with expertise in pediatric care and autism spectrum disorders to develop and implement a comprehensive care plan. Responsibilities:

– **Speech and Language Therapy:**

– **Augmentative Communication Devices:**
– Evaluate and recommend augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices suited to the child’s communication needs and abilities.
– Provide training and support to the child and caregivers on using AAC devices effectively to facilitate communication in various settings.

– **Specialized Education Support:**
– Collaborate with educators and special education professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) that address the child’s communication goals and learning needs.
– Implement evidence-based strategies and interventions to support the child’s participation and engagement in educational activities.

– **Family and Caregiver Education:**
– Provide education and training to the child’s family and caregivers on effective communication strategies and techniques to promote language development and social interaction.
– Offer guidance and support on implementing communication-enhancing activities and routines at home and in the community.

– **Collaboration and Monitoring:**
– Collaborate closely with the child’s interdisciplinary team, including speech-language pathologists, educators, psychologists, and behavioral therapists, to coordinate care and monitor progress.
– Conduct regular assessments to evaluate the child’s communication skills, adjust the care plan as needed, and celebrate milestones achieved.

Requirements:

– **Qualifications and Experience:**
– Certification or experience in pediatric nursing with a focus on developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders.
– Proficiency in assessing communication skills, implementing speech and language therapy programs, and supporting augmentative communication devices.
