We are seeking skilled nursing assistance to provide her with comprehensive care and support tailored to her specific needs.

Project Overview:
We are seeking an experienced nurse to join our caregiving team on a contractual basis, with a focus on providing specialized care for our daughter living with chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) and fibromyalgia. This role involves multidisciplinary pain management, psychotherapy, and support for addressing the physical and emotional challenges associated with chronic illness.

Responsibilities:

Multidisciplinary Pain Management: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including pain specialists, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists, to develop and implement a comprehensive pain management plan for our daughter. Coordinate medication management, complementary therapies, and lifestyle modifications to alleviate her pain and improve her overall comfort and well-being.
Psychotherapy: Provide psychotherapeutic support to address our daughter’s depression and emotional distress associated with chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) and fibromyalgia. Offer counseling, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and other evidence-based interventions to help her cope with stress, manage symptoms of depression, and improve her overall mental health.
Emotional Support: Offer compassionate emotional support to our daughter and our family, acknowledging the challenges of living with chronic illness and providing reassurance, empathy, and understanding. Foster a supportive and nurturing environment conducive to emotional healing and well-being, helping our daughter cope with the emotional toll of her conditions.
Physical Support: Provide hands-on assistance and support with activities of daily living, including personal care, mobility assistance, and household tasks, as needed. Offer guidance on energy conservation techniques, pacing strategies, and adaptive coping mechanisms to help our daughter manage her symptoms and conserve her energy effectively.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with healthcare providers, including physicians, psychologists, and physical therapists, to ensure coordinated and holistic care for our daughter. Communicate regularly with the interdisciplinary team to provide updates on her progress, address concerns, and adjust care plans as needed, ensuring she receives the best possible care and support.
Requirements:

Certification as a registered nurse with experience in chronic pain management, mental health nursing, or palliative care.
Proficiency in providing multidisciplinary pain management interventions for individuals with chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) and fibromyalgia, including knowledge of pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches to pain relief.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide compassionate support to individuals and families dealing with chronic illness and mental health challenges.
Compassion, empathy, and a genuine commitment to improving the quality of life for individuals living with chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), fibromyalgia, and other chronic illnesses.
