Project Overview:
We are seeking an experienced nurse to join our caregiving team on a contractual basis, with a focus on providing specialized care for our 45-year-old family member dealing with chronic insomnia, anxiety disorder, and chronic pain. This role involves integrated treatment approaches, medication management, and cognitive-behavioral therapy to address the complex interplay of symptoms.

Responsibilities:

Integrated Treatment Approaches: Work collaboratively with healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, pain specialists, and therapists, to develop and implement integrated treatment approaches tailored to address the complex interplay of chronic insomnia, anxiety disorder, and chronic pain. Coordinate care plans that incorporate medication management, psychotherapy, and complementary therapies to optimize our family member’s mental and physical health outcomes.
Medication Management: Provide comprehensive medication management to ensure our family member receives the appropriate medications for managing her chronic insomnia, anxiety disorder, and chronic pain. Monitor medication effectiveness, side effects, and interactions, adjusting dosages and treatment plans as needed under the guidance of healthcare professionals to optimize symptom control and minimize adverse effects.
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Offer cognitive-behavioral therapy interventions to address our family member’s insomnia, anxiety, and pain. Implement evidence-based CBT techniques to help her identify and challenge negative thought patterns, develop coping skills for managing stress and anxiety, and improve sleep hygiene and pain management strategies, empowering her to regain control over her symptoms and improve her overall quality of life.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, psychologists, pain specialists, and physical therapists, to ensure coordinated and holistic care for our family member. Communicate regularly with the interdisciplinary team to provide updates on her progress, address concerns, and adjust care plans as needed, ensuring she receives the best possible care and support tailored to her individual needs and preferences.
Family Education and Support: Offer education and support to our family on understanding our loved one’s conditions, managing care at home, and providing support during treatment. Provide guidance on strategies for promoting a supportive and nurturing environment, enhancing communication, and fostering family resilience in coping with the challenges of chronic illness.
Requirements:

Certification as a registered nurse with experience in mental health nursing, pain management, or integrative healthcare.
Proficiency in providing integrated treatment approaches for individuals with chronic insomnia, anxiety disorder, and chronic pain, including knowledge of medication management, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and complementary therapies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with individuals and families dealing with complex health issues and mental health challenges.
