Job Duties:The Truck Driver must have a California Class A driver license to work as a truck driver with Heritage Farms LLC. The truck driver will also be enrolled in the clear in-house program regulated by the FMCSA. Accordingly, the truck driver must have a doubles and triples endorsement and will use an electronic book to keep track of their services hours and GPS tracking device. The Truck Driver will be required to haul harvest trailers (Singles and doubles), haul lowboy with all types of farm equipment that Heritage Farms uses for Planting, Irrigation and Growing such as but not limited to: Tractors, Harvest Machines, Booster Pumps, Irrigation pipes (Main line and sprinkler line), farming implements such as Mulcher, Arizona, Wilcox, Disc, Reaper. The drivers are responsible for loa ding the Lowboy with the equipment and making sure that it is safely secured with the proper equipment.
Drivers will also load RPC’s and Totes on Harvest Trailers; they will be exposed to the weather during the time that they are working. Their responsibility is to load the trailers with proper materials, safely secure the load and deliver them to the ranch instructed.
Drivers will be making raw produce deliveries in 53 foot reefers to different coolers in Yuma and loading material to haul back to Holtville. In performing these duties, they will be responsible for: securing the load with low locks, reading and understanding delivery tickets, reporting with dispatch about their continuous status, making and answering phone calls when it is safe to do so or wearing a handsfree device for safety reasons. The crops that the workers will be transporting are baby spinach, baby lettuces that includes 5-7varieties, baby mustards that are 3-5 varieties.
