Job Duties: 1. TREE Planting: Bending, stooping, walking; Carry seedlings bag weighing up to 50 lbs; Plant seedling trees 10 to 12 feet apart; When required, apply vexar netting around seedlings; Clear the ground of brush prior to planting; Dig holes for seedlings, cover the roots with soil, compress the loose soil around the seedlings; Meet production standard: The number of trees to be planted in 8 hour period, 900-1300 trees per day per employee. 2. Hand pile brush for burning and removal. 3. Perform fire protection/suppression, build fire breaks/fire lines by removing the fire’s fuel through cutting, scraping or digging using hoe dad, shovel, spade and/or rake. 4. Pruning trees using clippers/pruners for the allowance of better growth. 5. TREE Thinning: Work outdoors in all terrains, 30 to 70% slopes, very steep. 6. Bud Capping Netting. 7. Applying Vexar for Maintenance/Repair. TOOLS and EQUIPMENT: The employer will provide at no cost to the worker: planting shovel and planting bags for tree planting; ear protection, chainsaw, and supplies for chainsaw. Worker is responsible to have hard hat, cork boots, gloves, and chaps. No piece rate applies. No production requirement applies for incentive. No need for relationship disclosure. Transportation and Subsistence: If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of hire to the place of work. Upon completion of work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs to return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per pay during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
