Farm Laborer – Openings: 20

Job Duties: Plant, water, weed, harvest, count load and unload, wash, sort, pack a variety of crops: Beans, Beets, Bell Peppers, Broccoli, Carrots, Cauliflower, Chard, Collards, Eggplant, Heirloom Tomatoes, Herbs, Hot Peppers, Kale, Kohlrabi, Peas, Spinach, Turnips, Winter Squash, Zucchini. Workers will perform various duties associated with growing the above listed vegetables and fruits. Workers may plant, cultivate, and harvest fruits and vegetables as needed. Workers will also be pulling weeds, raking, cleaning areas for planting, digging, laying irrigation pipes, placing or pulling plastic. Workers may perform duties that include the use of a shovel and other handheld tools. Workers will hook up, unhook and fix water lines. Workers will stake and tie plants. Workers may perform support duties such as making boxes, packing, cleaning buckets and work areas. General Maintenance: Workers will be responsible for performing general maintenance around the farm. This will include fence mending, mowing and weeding. Farm and Field Sanitation: All workers will be responsible for picking up trash, cleaning bathrooms, sweeping floors and other farm sanitation duties.
