JOB DESCRIPTION

This Sales Government Business Development Manager will lead Strategic relationship with the State of California, Cities and School Districts developing and growing strategic alliances. The ideal candidate has a blend of business and technology acumen with a strong interest in creating new sales and business development opportunities in a fast-developing Wireless 4G and 5G marketplace.
 
You will work across multiple technologies and business units to define the opportunity and resources needed to effectively execute new business. You will work closely with the solutions engineering teams to codevelop deep Government relationships across Northern California and a number of solution providers to increase funnel opportunities and executive relevance. Manage all aspects of the commercial relationship from design, contract and pricing negotiations to managing weekly/monthly/quarterly management meetings with end customers. Work closely with leadership and the customer to define new joint development opportunities for Wireless infrastructure solutions.

As a business consultant GAM, you will partner with senior level Government executives to implement their strategic imperatives, increasing their productivity and operating efficiencies. The primary measurement will be centered around new wins for solutions focused in the State and Local Government Market in Northern California. Local travel will be required in the assigned surrounding CA market.

• 3+ years selling to Federal/Government accounts is required

• Demonstrated history of sales achievements
• Highly motivated by an aggressive compensation plan
• Sharp presentation and written communication skills
• Sales skill necessary to meet or exceed sales goals and objectives
• Entrepreneurial spirit
• Serious work ethic
• Must have a valid Driver’s license and satisfactory driving record and proof of insurance

Desired

• Wireless, telecom or technology industry experience (preferred)

Education
• High school diploma/GED
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred

Travel requirements
• Ability to work in the field up to 90% of the time within your local geographic territory
